Jason Owen Leaves UMG To Form New Company

JASON OWEN has stepped down from his post as SVP/Artist Development and Marketing for UNIVERSAL MUSIC NASHVILLE, to launch his own company, SANDBOX ENTERTAINMENT. The new company will be a full-service management and entertainment company, opening its doors on SEPTEMBER 7th with SHANIA TWAIN signed on as the first client.
OWEN will remain connected to UMG in a consultancy role, working with Chairman/CEO LUKE LEWIS. Prior to joining UNIVERSAL, OWEN, served as Dir./Marketing and Talent Relations at COLUMBIA TriSTAR TELEVISION. His background also includes stints with SPELLING ENTERTAINMENT and NEW LINE CINEMA/FINE LINE FEATURES.
