PEDRO ROIG, Director of the Office of CUBA Broadcasting at the BROADCASTING BOARD OF GOVERNORS, has resigned after seven years at the helm of RADIO MARTI and TV MARTI, the U.S. government stations aimed at CUBA. ROIG submitted his resignation on FRIDAY (8/27), effective SEPTEMBER 1st; reports the previous week alleged that ROIG had been fired, which ROIG denied at the time.
The stations have been stung by allegations over the years of waste, small audiences and bias.
