The towers that once broadcast KHSL-A/CHICO, CA have been taken down after over 60 years, reports CBS affiliate KHSL-TV. The two structures, built near Bruce Road in CHICO in 1947, came down FRIDAY to make way for the MERRIAM PARK development, including the new NORTH BUTTE COUNTY Courthouse.
For the last 20 years, the towers have been used for cell phone antennae, with the radio station moving to another location. The old KHSL-A is now DEER CREEK BROADCASTING Talk KPAY-A.
