PRPD Conference Set For Late September In Denver

Public Radio PDs Unite!

The 23nd annual PUBLIC RADIO PROGRAMMING CONFERENCE is set for SEPTEMBER 23rd-26th at the Grand Hyatt Hotel in DENVER.  The event attracts top names in public radio in multi genres, including Jazz, Classical, News/Talk and Triple A.  The host stations this year are COMMUNITY RADIO FOR NORTHERN COLORADO KUNC/GREELY, CO and VAIL PUBLIC RADIO KUVO/DENVER.

The conference agenda topics include programming on multiple platforms, marketing for program directors, making the most of social media, new paradigms for program creation, improving your management skills, on-air fundraising and more.  Panelists include WXPN/PHILADELPIA PD BRUCE WARREN, WTMD/BALTIMORE GM STEVEN YASKO, KUT/AUSTIN Assist. Things kick-off THURSDAY EVENING (9/23) with an opening party hosted by the nationally syndicated show ETOWN at DENVER's Paramount Theater with CYNDI LAUPER and CHARLIE MUSSELWHITE performing.
