DANA COLLEGE has reapplied to transfer the license of noncommercial Variety KDCV-F/BLAIR, NE to receiver CORDES AND COMPANY. CORDES filed a similar application in AUGUST. The college was founded in 1884 and closed in JULY after the Higher Learning Commission of the North Central Association of Colleges and Schools refused to allow the school to transfer its accreditation to new for-profit ownership.
WORD POWER, INC. has requested a Silent STA for WLHW/CASEY, IL due to technical problems with its EAS equipment.
And FRANKLIN & MARSHALL COLLEGE has requested an extension of its Silent STA for noncommercial WFNM/LANCASTER, PA while renovation of the building on which the station's antenna is located is completed. The school expects the station to be able to sign back on the air on DECEMBER 15th.
In addition, the sale of a construction permit for a new AM at KNIK-FAIRVIEW, AK from Executrix RUTH POLLACK, administrator of the estate of the late CHESTER COLEMAN, to ALASKA INTEGRATED MEDIA, INC. as part of a court-authorized restructuring of debt has encountered opposition from PHILIP J.
