A skate park is being rebuilt and renamed after hit songwriter JEFFREY STEELE’s son, ALEX LeVASSEUR, who was tragically killed in an ATV accident in 2007. The ALEX LeVASSEUR MEMORIAL FUND and the BRENTWOOD, TN YMCA are teaming up for the rebuild and revitalization of the park, located at the BRENTWOOD Y.
The current park is over 10 years old and was heavily damaged in the NASHVILLE flood in MAY. The groundbreaking for the new park will be on SEPTEMBER 27th and volunteers are needed to demolish the park next weekend (9/24-9/26) to prepare it for the rebuild.
