BMG Buys Music Publisher Evergreen

BMG RIGHTS MANAGEMENT has acquired its fourth music acquisition this year, reports THE NEW YORK POST, "closing a deal to buy EVERGREEN COPYRIGHT ACQUISITIONS. The deal is valued at around $80 million and could be announced as soon as TODAY.
NEW YORK-based EVERGREEN is a music publisher that owns the rights to songs such as "Remember the Time" and "U Can't Touch This," and represents music from artists such as MICHAEL JACKSON, DR. DRE, TUPAC and THE RAMONES, among others, and is run by co-founder and co-CEO DAVID SCHULHOF, a former VP of motion pictures music for MIRAMAX.
