Bob Rivers And KZOK Can't Agree On A New Deal

A shocker in SEATTLE, as longtime CBS Classic Rocker KZOK/SEATTLE morning man BOB RIVERS has done his last show at the station. RIVERS exits as he could not reach a new contract deal. RIVERS has been at KZOK for 10 years, and has been waking up SEATTLE for 21 years.
"It's a privilege for me to work with great people, and I'm even including the people who unfortunately we're not going to be working with tomorrow," RIVERS told KING 5-TV. "We have a great relationship with people and they put their faith in us, and it just kills me not to be there in the morning."
Don't look for RIVERS to cross the street right away, as he has a six-month non-compete clause in his contract. He is continuing to do gigs with his band 'Spike and the Impalers' and said the group is ready to play at just about any event.
"I'm going to also just take some time off, relax, evaluate things and then we'll re-emerge," said RIVERS.
