ALPHA BROADCASTING Triple A KINK/PORTLAND, OR, has made some major programming changes effective TODAY (10/12): After 13 years at the helm, PD DENNIS CONSTANTINE has exited the station and format veteran CHRIS MAYS joins as Acting PD. MAYS will work in conjunction with consultants from the POLLACK MEDIA GROUP.
The announcement was made by Pres./COO BOB PROFFITT who said, "We are so grateful to DENNIS for his many contributions to KINK over the last 13 years. KINK is such an incredible brand with deep roots here in PORTLAND and we’re ready to embark on the next chapter with CHRIS at the helm."
MAYS is a 30-year broadcast veteran, having been the creator and architect of such notable stations as Triple A KMTT/SEATTLE, as well as having programmed Hot AC KLLC/SAN FRANCISCO from 2005-2008.
"I am honored to be joining the ALPHA family in PORTLAND and look forward to working with LARRY WILSON, BOB PROFFITT, SCOTT MAHALICK and the POLLACK MEDIA GROUP to evolve KINK into the future and be a part of this legendary station," said MAYS. "My passion for radio is unparalleled and I'm excited to move to the PORTLAND area. KINK has assembled a world-class team. It will be a privilege to bring my vision and leadership to this group."
CONSTANTINE said, "I have many great friends inside the walls of ALPHA and I wish them my best. In the meantime, I’m looking forward to my next great radio adventure!" Reach him at (503) 296-9004, or at Dennver@gmail.com.
