Tom Bosley Dies; 'Happy Days' Co-Star Also Hosted Radio Drama Series

TOM BOSLEY, the character actor best known as Howard "Mr. C" Cunningham, the father on the long-running TV situation comedy "Happy Days," died TODAY in RANCHO MIRAGE, CA of heart failure after a battle with lung cancer. He was 83.
BOSLEY, whose career took off with his Tony Award-winning portrayal of NEW YORK Mayor FIORELLO LAGUARDIA in the musical "Fiorello!" in 1959 and who later starred in the title role on "Father Dowling Mysteries," hosted the "GENERAL MILLS Radio Adventure Theater," a radio drama anthology, on CBS RADIO in 1977. His last film appearance was in the 2010 comedy "The Back-Up Plan."
