Reggae Star Gregory Isaacs Dies At 59

Reggae star GREGORY ISAACS died TODAY (10/25) at his LONDON home after a battle with lung cancer.
ISAACS, 59, born in KINGSTON, JAMAICA, was one of the biggest stars of the Lovers Rock genre of reggae, scoring several hits in his native country and achieving substantial sales in the U.K., with the 1982 album "Night Nurse" reaching #32 on the British album chart. He battled cocaine addiction throughout his career, but continued to perform until last AUGUST at ENGLAND's BIG CHILL FESTIVAL.
ISAACS released his most recent album, "Brand New Me," in 2008.
