CBS RADIO News KYW-A/PHILADELPHIA and COMCAST awarded a new ten-piece laptop computer lab to VISITATION B.V.M. in NORRISTOWN, PA as part of their "Laptop Daily Double" contest. The contest asked individual winners to nominate their favorite school for a random drawing to grant the computer lab, and winner ERIN DELANEY, who won her own DELL Inspiron 14R laptop in the contest in OCTOBER, nominated her alma mater, VISITATION, from which she graduated in 1996.
"KYW Newsradio derives a tremendous amount of pride by making these laptops available to our schools. If we can make even the tiniest contribution by providing better resources for our kids, it is a big win," said CBS RADIO PHILADELPHIA SVP/Market Manager MARC RAYFIELD.
"Expanding digital literacy and building tomorrow's leaders are core commitments for COMCAST," said COMCAST Freedom Region SVP of Sales and Marketing ERIC SCHAEFER. "We are proud to know that the Laptop Daily Double positively impacts PHILADELPHIA area schools and brings new possibilities to students." COMCAST's corporate headquarters are in Center City PHILADELPHIA and the company is the dominant cable operator in the DELAWARE VALLEY.
