BRANT HANSEN, host of "MORNINGS WITH BRANT" on the CHRISTIAN HIT RADIO SATELLITE NETWORK (CHRSN) is in AFGHANISTAN this week. He is delivering baby blankets and baby hats knitted by listeners to the CURE INTERNATIONAL HOSPITAL for moms and babies in need this winter.
HANSEN was also asked to do "kangaroo care" duty in the hospital. Kangaroo car is spending time holding babies to encourage growth and development. A video is available here.
"We thought showing God's love for these Muslim women and children was a beautiful counterpoint to the Koran-burning issue. We talked a lot about what 'Christian' means, and how that word is never more appropriate than when we love the least and love our enemies," said HANSEN.
"This is actually a very dangerous trip for BRANT in a very dangerous area of the world. But this is one of the things that makes BRANT so unique. If he wasn't on the radio, I'm pretty sure he'd be serving the poor somewhere," said CHRSN GM FARON DICE.
