BONNEVILLE Sports WXOS (101 ESPN)/ST. LOUIS has inked PD JASON BARRETT to a two-year contract renewal with an option for a third year.
VP/Market Manager JOHN KIJOWSKI said, "BONNEVILLE has been very pleased with JASON's performance. In the two short years since the inception of 101 ESPN, JASON has brought the 101 ESPN team to ratings excellence in the targeted listener demographic of Men 25-54. With JASON's creativity and his dynamic leadership, 101 ESPN has quickly ascended into dominance over the other ST. LOUIS sports radio stations. And under his tutelage, 101 ESPN has become a significant Top 5 player among the best sports radio stations across the nation."
BARRETT said, "Over the past 2+ years I have been fortunate to work for a great company in BONNEVILLE INTERNATIONAL CORPORATION, with inspired leadership and among very talented people, and it has been one of the most rewarding times of my career. Not many Programmers in this business get the opportunity to build a product from scratch and turn it into a proven ratings performer, but I've had that privilege the past two years managing 101 ESPN. I am honored to be asked to remain on board for the next 2-3 years.
"I would like to thank JOHN KIJOWSKI, BRUCE REESE, DREW HOROWITZ, JOEL OXLEY and GREG SOLK for providing me with the trust, confidence and support needed in order to create and deliver a great product. And I want to personally thank my team for their commitment to excellence, their willingness to embrace change and their passion and hunger to keep winning at a very high level. I'd also be remiss if I left out our listeners, because it's their support which has allowed us to evolve ST. LOUIS sports radio and make the radio station one of the best in the format across the country.
"Now the challenge becomes making 101 ESPN an even bigger and better product over the next few years - and I'm definitely ready for that challenge."
