COX MEDIA GROUP has named ATLANTA JOURNAL-CONSTITUTION Editor JULIA WALLACE to SVP/News and Programming for CMG/OHIO (the company's DAYTON cluster), and DAYTON DAILY NEWS Editor-in-Chief KEVIN RILEY will move to the AJC to take WALLACE's place as editor.
WALLACE will oversee COX's 12 newspapers in OHIO (including the DAYTON DAILY NEWS) as well as Talk WHIO-A-F, Country WHKO (K99.1), and CBS affiliate WHIO-TV. She replaces the retiring HARRY DELANEY in the post.
"JULIA is a proven professional, has years of journalism experience and professional judgment that have served the AJC well, and she has been actively involved in responding to the desires and interests of our audience and advertisers," said CMG/OHIO Group VP ALEX TAYLOR. "In her 10 years at the AJC she has focused on aggressive watchdog reporting and coverage of breaking news. She also has helped build ajc.com into one of the strongest newspaper websites in the country, generating more than one billion page views yearly for the past four years."
