Report: CEO Buying Nine Stations From New Northwest Broadcasters

NEW NORTHWEST BROADCASTERS CEO TRILA BUMSTEAD, whose company went into receivership, is buying five stations in the ASTORIA, WA area and four stations in ANCHORAGE, AK from the company for her OHANA MEDIA GROUP, reports the DAILY ASTORIAN. The deal, not yet filed with the FCC, would include Sports KKEE-A and Talk KAST-A/ASTORIA, OR; Classic Rock KCRX/SEASIDE, OR; Country KVAS (EAGLE 103.9)/ILWACO, WA; Hot AC KLMY (MY 99.7)/LONG BEACH, WA; and Modern AC KDBZ (102.1 THE BUZZ), Top 40/Rhythmic KFAT, Adult Hits KBBO (92.1 BOB FM), and Country-Rock KXLW (96.3 THE WOLF)/ANCHORAGE. No terms were disclosed for the deal.
In deals filed with the FCC, CALVARY RADIO NETWORK, INC. is selling FM translator W260BR/AUBURN, IN to STAR EDUCATIONAL MEDIA NETWORK, INC. for $60,000.
BACK WOODS COMMUNICATIONS is selling the construction permit for new noncommercial WWJJ/JASPER, FL to FLORIDA EDUCATIONAL RADIO INC. for $1.
FRIENDS OF RADIO MARIA, INC. is donating Religion KSIH/BELCOURT, ND to RADIO MARIA.
RUBY RADIO CORPORATION has asked the FCC for a SIlent STA for K299AN/RYNDON, NY, saying that the station's directional antenna was "blown down" and will be replaced by a non-directional antenna, requiring an additional filing.
And in closings filed with the FCC, RADIO PALATKA, INC. has closed on the sale of Adult Standards WPLK-A/PALATKA, FL to NATKIM RADIO, LLC for $425,000; PEARL COMMUNICATIONS GROUP has closed on the sale of the construction permit for WTMH/SMITHBORO, IL to THE POWER FOUNDATION for $15,000; and GOOD NEWS BROADCASTING OF TEXAS has closed on the sale of FM translator K292FK/PLEASANTON, TX to CARLOS LOPEZ for $25,000.
