CLANCY WOODS will step down as Pres. of MISSION MEDIA GROUP, LLC at the end of the year and be replaced by DAVID GOW, the Chairman of MISSION MEDIA and GOW COMMUNICATIONS.
WOODS said, "Over the last several years, I have had the distinct honor of working with some of the best people in sports media. PAUL ALLEN had the vision to see how the SPORTING NEWS brand could be revitalized and reintroduced to a new generation of sports consumers. With his guidance and patience, we overcame unique business challenges that would have drowned most other companies. WHITNEY SHAW brought the passion and stability of AMERICAN CITY BUSINESS JOURNALS, which proved that SPORTING NEWS could continue to grow and deliver a world class consumer experience through new distribution technologies.
"In the last year and half we have worked tirelessly with our investors to create an innovative and independent company that produces sports media content that is second to none. Now that our initial goal of creating an independent sports radio network has been accomplished, it is time for me to devote my time to a number of other business interests and leave the next phase of growth for MISSION MEDIA GROUP in the capable hands of our senior management team. I will remain involved as an advisor, and shareholder, and will continue to be the biggest fan of our people, our products, and our partners."
