On the final night of performing nine sold-out concerts in NASHVILLE (12/22), MAYOR KARL DEAN publicly thanked Country star GARTH BROOKS and his wife, TRISHA YEARWOOD, for raising millions of dollars for flood relief victims and simultaneously generating millions of dollars for MUSIC CITY’s local economy.
DEAN said: “GARTH, you have single handedly made this NASHVILLE’s best DECEMBER ever.”
The economic impact of the concert series is expected to be between $10 and $15 million, according to estimates by the NASHVILLE CONVENTION & VISITORS BUREAU and the NASHVILLE DOWNTOWN PARTNERSHIP. DEAN presented BROOKS with a signed copy of a flood relief poster.
