TOYOTA is unveiling its answer to FORD's SYNC at the INTERNATIONAL CES with TOYOTA ENTUNE, its own multimedia in-car communications and entertainment system. Like the FORD system, ENTUNE includes voice recognition to control navigation, content and services. Included in ENTUNE are BING searching, PANDORA, HD RADIO, XM SATELLITE RADIO, and CLEAR CHANNEL's iHEARTRADIO, as well as a CD player and Bluetooth and USB connectivity.
"Consumers have grown accustomed to having the world at their fingertips through their mobile phones," said TOYOTA Advanced Technology Department VP JON BUCCI. "And unlike other industry solutions, ENTUNE allows the driver to interact with informative and entertaining mobile content without fumbling with their phone. We offer features that our customers demand and integrate them seamlessly in the vehicle."
ENTUNE will be offered as an option on select TOYOTA models this year.
