ALL ACCESS reported MONDAY (NET NEWS 1/10) that the future of EMI may be played out this week, as British newspaper THE GUARDIAN reports, "GUY HANDS, the private equity tycoon, could surrender the keys of EMI to its lender CITIGROUP within weeks." But it appears HANDS isn't going down without a fight."
TODAY (1/12), THE NEW YORK POST writes, "HANDS' private-equity firm, TERRA FIRMA, plans to appeal a court decision in his failed lawsuit against CITI, which he claims duped him into overpaying for music label EMI in 2007."
"The appeal will challenge legal rulings made by the court in the litigation," said a TERRA FIRMA spokesman.
