Layoffs At Grupo Prisa

GRUPO PRISA has announced that it will cut its employee rolls by 18% worldwide. The company, which owns syndicator GLR NETWORKS and GLR, owner of two radio stations, Spanish Talk WSUA-A (RADIO CARACOL)/MIAMI and Spanish Talk XEWW-A (W RADIO)/TIJUANA-SAN DIEGO-LOS ANGELES, in the U.S. market, will be cutting about 2.500 workers, with 500 of those being in its operations in the AMERICAS and PORTUGAL and the other 2,000 in SPAIN.
The statement indicated that further cuts in divisions outside SPAIN are still under consideration.
