Indie record company DANGERBIRD has appointed industry veteran PIERO GIRAMONTI as President. Previously SVP/Global Marketing for WARNER BROS. RECORDS, GIRAMONTI will oversee all six divisions of DANGERBIRD’s business, including the record label, management, music publishing, merchandising, licensing and recording studio.
"I have long admired DANGERBIRD and the amazing artists that are on the label and part of the management community," GIRAMONTI said. "There is no question that DANGERBIRD is poised to take the next step in its development, and I could not be more enthusiastic about being a part of that process. To be a part of the DANGERBIRD ethos, where artistry is supported in an environment of the highest integrity, is a dream come true."
"PIERO is a great addition to the DANGERBIRD team," DANGERBIRD CEO/Co-Founder JEFF CASTELAZ said. "He has one of the sharpest marketing minds I've ever seen, and a fantastic work ethic. Even when running the biggest labels in the world, his first instinct is to roll up his sleeves and get things done. Having him at DANGERBIRD, between me and our GM, MATT SOLODKY, will be extremely beneficial long-term for the company and our artists alike."
