Ron Baird Passes Away At Age 60 In Nashville

The former head of the CREATIVE ARTIST AGENCY NASHVILLE office, RON BAIRD, has passed away at the age of 60. BAIRD died in NASHVILLE YESTERDAY (2/4) following a battle with PARKINSON’s Disease. BAIRD opened the CAA NASHVILLE offices in 1991 and remained with the company until his retirement in 2004.
BAIRD oversaw the careers of artists like CLINT BLACK, BILLY DEAN, BARBARA MANDRELL, MARTINA MCBRIDE, REBA MCENTIRE, JOE NICHOLS, OLIVIA NEWTON JOHN, LITTLE TEXAS, JAMIE O’NEAL, JENNIFER HANSON, ALAN JACKSON, TOBY KEITH, JULIE ROBERTS and SHANIA TWAIN.
He is survived by his wife CHERYL and children JOHN and MARC, as well as four grandchildren.
A celebration of RON’s life will be held WEDNESDAY (2/9) at HILLWOOD COUNTRY CLUB in NASHVILLE from 5p to 7p (CT). In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to LEWY BODY DEMENTIA ASSOCIATION, THE SALVATION ARMY or the GLACIER NATIONAL PARK FUND.
