TODAY at 6p Pacific Time, OHANA BROADCASTING Top 40/Mainstream KQMQ (THE ZONE)/HONOLULU officially flipped to become "93-1 the Pa’ina, HAWAII’s Reggae Station." Loosley translated, "Pa'ina" means "large party" in Hawaiian.
"Listener dissatisfaction with corporate over-control of radio products in HAWAII is at an all-time high," OHANA BROADCAST Dir./Programming RICK THOMAS said. "‘da Paina has no corporate mandates, no directives that water down the product to a state of blandness. Pa’ina’s only mission to is to have fun and play the reggae and island jams people really want to hear. We’ve done an extensive locally based research project that has given us the perfect mix of Reggae and Island songs and invite you to the Pa’ina. Rajah dat!"
Listen to the cool runnings here, mon.
