Dailey & Vincent Win Seven SPBGMA Bluegrass Music Awards

ROUNDER RECORDS duo DAILEY & VINCENT brought home seven trophies from the 37th Annual SPBGMA BLUEGRASS MUSIC AWARDS, held at the MUSIC CITY SHERATON in NASHVILLE YESTERDAY (2/6).
Together they were honored for “Bluegrass Band of the Year,” “Entertaining Group of the Year” and “Album of the Year” for “DAILEY & VINCENT Sing THE STATLER BROTHERS.” They also won their third consecutive awards for “Vocal Group of the Year” and “Gospel Group of the Year/Contemporary.” Additionally, JAMIE DAILEY was named “Male Vocalist of the Year/Contemporary” and DARRIN VINCENT took home honors for “Bass Fiddle Performer of the Year,” their third consecutive wins in those categories.
“We love to sing, and we love to entertain. Thanks to all of you for letting us do what we love to do,” said DAILEY.
“We also want to thank the guys in our band, who make it a joy to travel and play across the country, and our families for their support,” said VINCENT.
BLUGRASCAL RECORDS group THE GRASCALS took home three awards, which included “Instrumental Group of the Year,” “Mandolin Performer of the Year” for group member DANNY ROBERTS and “Banjo Performer of the Year” for group member KRISTIN SCOTT BENSON.
"It's an amazing feeling," said THE GRASCALS' JAMIE JOHNSON. "We've worked really hard to carry the tradition of bluegrass to new audiences, and we are honored to be acknowledged."
DAILEY & VINCENT closed out the awards show with a 30-minute set.
