The FCC has fined JAMES ROUSE $13,000 for a late license renewal application at, and subsequent unauthorized operation of, Gospel WTOW-A/WASHINGTON, NC. ROUSE also allegedly operated the station after an STA had expired. The same violations at Gospel WOOW-A/GREENVILLE, NC drew an additional $13,000 fine for ROUSE's THE MINORITY VOICE, INC.
DREXEL UNIVERSITY has been fined $8,000 for failure to properly maintain a public fine at its noncommercial Variety WKDU/PHILADELPHIA. The file was missing some quarterly issues/programs lists.
FAITH BAPTIST CHURCH has been fined $8,000 for its own public file deficiencies at noncommercial Religion KCAS/MCCOOK, TX. Like WKDU, KCAS was missing some quarterly issues/programs lists.
The FCC has also proposed a $12,000 fine against MEDIA EAST, LLC, licensee of now-silent WLGT-A/WASHINGTON, NC, for public file violations, and has ordered the company to submit a sworn statement certifying its current compliance with the rules. The file was not kept current at the main studio after 2006.
