OSU Plans To Sell Off AM

THE OHIO STATE UNIVERSITY still plans to sell off its noncommercial WOSU-A/COLUMBUS, OH, reports alternative weekly THE OTHER PAPER.
The station presently simulcasts noncommercial Talk WOSU-A, and Dir./Marketing SUSAN MEYER told the paper, "We do plan on selling 820 AM ... Radio listening has changed so much. Listeners really don't tune in to AM stations unless they're looking for Sports or Talk radio."
WOSU bought the signal of crosstown Alternative WWCD (CD 101) to allow it to split Classical programming off from WOSU-F, with WWCD moving to the move-in signal of WHIZ MEDIA GROUP's WCVZ/BALTIMORE, OH.
