Citadel's 'American Country Countdown' Goes From Top 40 To Top 30

The AMERICAN COUNTRY COUNTDOWN, from CITADEL MEDIA NETWORKS, and hosted by KIX BROOKS, has cut its ‘list.’ The weekly program has dropped from 40 to 30 songs per countdown, a move that, according to VP/Programming & Distribution BRYAN SWITZER, had been contemplated for a while.
“For some time now, we've been hearing concerns from our affiliates about the newer, unfamiliar songs in the 31-40 slots of the countdown,” SWITZER told ALL ACCESS. “Based on that feedback, we've shifted the on-air countdown to the top-30 songs. Songs 31-40 will still be listed on the ACC website for those listeners who want the entire chart. There are also several new artist features that we will soon be debuting at www.americancountrycountdown.com.
SWITZER added that they have received great feedback so far on the changes. Contact him at firstname.lastname@example.org.
