CLEAR CHANNEL Top 40/Mainstream WAKS (KISS)/CLEVELAND,is launching "The Takeover," a new feature where listeners program the music on the radio station weekdays from 3-4p and 7-8p through their votes on KISSCLEVELAND.com. LISTENER DRIVEN RADIO created the technology behind "The Takeover."
"It’s exciting to watch the songs jump around in real-time on the website as people vote them up and down, ultimately picking what will hit the air next," KISS PD BO MATTHEWS said. "In this techno-age, people want everything custom and catered to their likes and tastes -- and they want it now. It’s imperative that we harness the technology and evolve, to allow listeners play a role in molding what we are as a radio station."
"96.5 KISS-FM is one of the best Top 40 stations in the country and highest-rated radio stations in the market," LDR Pres. DANIEL ANSTANDIG said. "We are excited to work with BO MATTHEWS and his team at Kiss on Takeover. It’s a revolutionary move in CLEVELAND radio to offer this amount of real-time control and influence to the audience."
Listeners can begin voting 15 minutes prior to the 3p and 7p hours at KISSCLEVELAND.COM. For more information and to view how "The Takeover" operates, visit www.kisscleveland.com.
