Doug Franklin Named President Of Cox Media Group

COX ENTERPRISES has upped DOUG FRANKLIN from EVP to President of COX MEDIA GROUP, reporting to COX ENTERPRISES Pres./CEO JIMMY HAYES. FRANKLIN, the former Publisher of COX's ATLANTA JOURNAL-CONSTITUTION, PALM BEACH POST and DAYTON DAILY NEWS, who will oversee COX's TV and radio stations newspapers, publications, digital services, VALPAK and COX REPS, replaces SANDY SCHWARTZ, who moves to President of COX's automotive services subsidiary, MANHEIM.
"DOUG is a seasoned veteran with a great understanding of our CMG properties and a great vision for their future," said HAYES. "He has played a major role in the integration and transformation of our media businesses and I am confident in his ability to lead them to continued success."
