SKYVILLE RECORDS/NASHVILLE has hired industry veteran DALE TURNER. TURNER, in his new position at SKYVILLE RECORDS, will be working with consultants, and syndicates among other duties as National Dir./Radio Marketing and Promotion.
“There is no better utility player on a record label staff than DALE TURNER,” said Pres. KEVIN HERRING. “He does it all. We are so lucky to have him here.”
TURNER’s long resume includes 14 years where he served as Regional, then VP/Promotion at RCA LABEL GROUP, before joining LYRIC STREET RECORDS in 1998 as VP/National Promotion. He worked alongside KEVIN HERRING for 12 years at LYRIC STREET. Before switching to the records side, TURNER had a very successful career as a Country programmer, including stints at KSSN/LITTLE ROCK, WKDA/NASHVILLE, WSAI/CINCINNATI and WMC/MEMPHIS.
“In lieu of early retirement, I’m delaying my 139 bowling average to hook up with my former colleague KEVIN HERRING,” joked TURNER. “In all seriousness, I’ve worked some great music that was produced and/or written by PAUL WORLEY and WALLY WILSON over the years. This will be a fun adventure in a new business model.”
