PEAK BROADCASTING Talk KIDO-A/BOISE morning host KEVIN MILLER is heading to IRAQ to broadcast live MAY 16th-20th from CAMP VICTORY in BAGHDAD. MILLER will be embedded with the IDAHO ARMY NATIONAL GUARD 116th Combat Cavalry Brigade from BOISE; he previously accompanied the IDAHO ARMY NATIONAL GUARD in NOVEMBER 2010 when they made their initial trip for training at CAMP SHELBY in MISSISSIPPI. He will also revive the "Letters from Home" feature, launched last FALL, in which he brought thousands of hand written letters and notes from school children, churches, elected officials, and residents throughout IDAHO to the troops.
Director of AM Operations JASON WILMOT said, "We are proud and excited to be the first ever radio station in IDAHO to broadcast live from IRAQ. KEVIN MILLER has undertaken this dangerous assignment in order to bring the families of these brave heroes closer together if only for a short time."
SVP KEVIN GODWIN, SR. added, "KIDO's continuing commitment to the TREASURE VALLEY through its exclusive live and local programming gives us a unique point of differentiation within the broadcast and advertising community."
