The PHILADELPHIA PHILLIES are the latest sports franchise to get a dedicated HD RADIO multicast channel with the launch TODAY of PHILLIES 24/7 on the HD4 stream of CBS RADIO Oldies WOGL/PHILADELPHIA. The channel, to be active for the duration of the baseball season, will carry the live play-by-play of PHILLIES games from sister Talk WPHT-A and will rebroadcast each game the following morning at 9a (ET). It will also air original programming like "PHILLIES TODAY," a weekly "PHILLIES PHORUM" show answering fans' questions, and "PHILLIES PLAYLIST," a weekly look at what music PHILLIES players are listening to on their MP3 players, and will air archival content including classic game replays.
CBS RADIO PHILADELPHIA SVP MARC RAYFIELD said, "We are thrilled to embark upon this new endeavor with the Phillies. There is an insatiable appetite for this team, and CBS RADIO's HD platform allows us to use new technology to bring PHILLIES related content to their fans 24 hours a day, 365 days a year. And the best part is it's free!"
"Creating this channel for our fans is a natural way to give them even more access to the team. We are excited to partner with CBS RADIO on this unique and exciting project," PHILLIES SVP/Marketing and Advertising Sales DAVID BUCK added.
