WISN To Drop Glenn Beck, Shift Jay Weber To 6-10a

CLEAR CHANNEL Talk WISN-A/MILWAUKEE is dropping PREMIERE's GLENN BECK, starting APRIL 18th. Morning host JAY WEBER's show will shift from 5-8a (CT) to 6-10a, filling the 8-10a slot currently held by BECK, who was in his second stint in the WISN lineup (2001-04 and again since MARCH 2010). The station will add a news block, "WISN'S MORNING BRIEFING," for 5-6a (CT), hosted by News Dir. KEN HERRERA.
The station's release on the move focuses on WEBER's move, which, it says, "actually re-establishes JAY in the timeslot in which his morning show originally appeared back in 2007. In MARCH of last year, WEBER's show was shortened by an hour and moved to start at 5am; since that change, WISN management received hundreds and hundreds of e-mails and calls from listeners, asking that the show return to its original time slot. This move accomplishes just that. The massive demand for Mr. WEBER's program underscores JAY's emergence as one of the prominent local talk show hosts in the entire MIDWEST."
