Who's kicking the tires at UNIVISION? The NEW YORK TIMES reports that DISNEY and CBS have had meetings with UNIVISION management in the last week, despite LES MOONVES' statement on yesterday's CBS CORP. conference call that his company is "not looking for an acquisition of this size."
The paper says that MEXICO's TELEVISA is organizing its own bid with a consortium of investors, and another group including GOLDMAN SACHS, THOMAS H. LEE PARTNERS, and the TEXAS PACIFIC GROUP is likely to join in the auction, but that TIME WARNER and ECHOSTAR are no longer likely bidders.
