THE COUNTRY NETWORK (TCN), a Country music video television network located in NASHVILLE, is now broadcasting on five NEWPORT TELEVISION stations including KUCW/SALT LAKE CITY, KMYT/TULSA, KGPE/FRESNO, KMTW/WICHITA and KASN/LITTLE ROCK.
TCN previously announced agreements in 36 other markets and with the addition of these five NEWPORT stations to the line up TCN coverage expands to nearly 30% of US television households.
"I am very excited to begin broadcasting and bring Country music television to the many fans of these new markets," TCN Founder/CEO WARREN HANSEN said. "Country is one of the most popular music formats and until now it has been difficult for fans to see more than a handful of their favorite videos on any other channel. The Country Network has forever changed this, and is delighted to have such a great partner in NEWPORT TELEVISION."
"Embracing new niche content on our digital-tier is an opportunity to expand our company's growth strategy, and TCN's diverse blend of local and national country content fills that niche. We are very excited about offering a fresh new short-form music network to all of the country music enthusiasts across our markets," said VP/Programming for NEWPORT TELEVISION KEN REINER.
