Taylor Swift Raises $750,000 For Tornado Victims In The Southeast

BIG MACHINE star TAYLOR SWIFT sold tickets to the last dress rehearsal for her SPEAK NOW TOUR to fans as a fundraiser for victims of recent deadly tornadoes in the SOUTHEAST. "SPEAK NOW … HELP NOW", the final dress rehearsal for TAYLOR SWIFT's SPEAK NOW TOUR, was held at NASHVILLE's BRIDGESTONE ARENA on SATURDAY (5/21) and raised over $750,000.
Fans started lining up for event at 6a (CT) on FRIDAY (5/20), more than 36 hours before doors opened for the crowd of 13,700 in attendance. TAYLOR expanded her fundraising efforts for tornado victims by streaming two performances during the benefit. One hundred percent of ticket sales will go directly to help tornado victims via the SPEAK NOW … HELP NOW FUND established through the COMMUNITY FOUNDATION OF MIDDLE TENNESSEE.
The open rehearsal and online stream gave fans around the world a first look at TAYLOR’s new stage and her show for the NORTH AMERICAN leg of the SPEAK NOW WORLD TOUR. Information on how to donate to help tornado victims was posted during the stream. During the two-hour show, TAYLOR played acoustic guitar, electric guitar, ukulele, banjo and piano.
