CITADEL/DES MOINES OM STEVE BRILL has announced that he will exit from the cluster on JULY 8th. The cluster includes Country KJJY-F, Country KHKI-F, Rock KGGO, News Talk WOW-FM and Sports Talk KBBG-A.
“Working here in DES MOINES has been the ride of my career. I was able to do the real kind of radio programming that I have loved to do for the past 30 years. Now I look forward to bringing the same innovation to my new business,” BRILL said.
BRILL has started his own company, CONCERT TOURS FOR RADIO, which will bring festival-like concerts to radio stations across the country, at no cost to the stations. “CONCERT TOURS FOR RADIO pulls listeners, artists and their labels, and radio stations together for a jaw-dropping show. It’s a win-win for all involved and I am so excited to be at the helm of this venture,” BRILL added.
Market Manager TERRY PETERS said, “STEVE’s contributions here to our programming department over the last three years have been many. He is one of the best talent coaches in the country, and the foreground Morning Shows on KGGO, KJJY, and KHKI are all benefactors of his work and leadership here. He is also one of the best rock musicologists around, and he increased his breadth with Country music rapidly with the challenging mission of programming TWO Country stations under one roof and increasing shares and revenues simultaneously…..no easy feat in the ultra-competitive atmosphere in this format in IOWA.”
BRILL has also made stops at CLEAR CHANNEL Country KSD/ST. LOUIS, JOURNAL Rock KEXO(Z-92)/OMAHA, NE, CITADEL Rock WAQX/SYRACUSE, NY and more.
