14-Year-Old Station Owner Offers JENNiRADIO App

JENNIFER SMART, at 14 dubbed "AMERICA's youngest radio station owner," has released the JENNiRADIO App, the first interactive IOS radio app that allows you to play along with a station's audio stream. Through her foundation, SMART purchased the former RADIO DISNEY station KALY-A/ALBUQUERQUE, and has been airing the JENNiRADIO "Family Hits" format 24/7 since DECEMBER 18th, 2010.

JENNiRADIO features age-appropriate music and entertainment content, including web and DVD reviews, as well as JENNIFER's celebrity interviews. The station also focuses on positive messages about giving back. Although run as a commercial radio station, all proceeds go to local and national charities.

"I wanted to create something unique, that lets you play along to your favorite family hits, and helps support JENNiRADIO and my foundation," JENNIFER states. "Copycat apps are bound to pop up soon, but I bring you the original app, that allows you to make a difference."

Through the JENNiRADIO app, listeners also have access to JENNIFER's celebrity interviews, red carpet reports -- like RIO, PIRATES 4 and JUDY MOODY -- JEN's blog, and the ability to donate to the foundation.
