The change in ownership at noncommercial WDUQ/PITTSBURGH will result in the termination of 20 employees, reports the PITTSBURGH TRIBUNE-REVIEW. ESSENTIAL PUBLIC MEDIA's takeover of the station from DUQUESNE UNIVERSITY under an LMA before closing of the station's sale will displace the staff as of JUNE 30th, with the new programming and format, including mostly News and Talk programming and reducing Jazz on the station's main signal to weekends, installed the next day.
Interim GM FRED SERINO and Business Manager VICKY RUMPF will stay on with the station through its transition to new ownership, but the rest of the staff has been served with termination notices.
