Country great GLEN CAMPBELL has revealed to PEOPLE MAGAZINE that he has ALZHEIMER’s disease. CAMPBELL, who is 75, and his wife KIM sat down with PEOPLE to talk about his diagnosis and his upcoming FALL tour dates.
"GLEN is still an awesome guitar player and singer," said KIM. "But if he flubs a lyric or gets confused on stage, I wouldn’t want people to think, 'What's the matter with him? Is he drunk?' "
CAMPBELL was diagnosed six months ago after several years dealing with short-team memory loss.
CAMPBELL added, "I still love making music. And I still love performing for my fans. I'd like to thank them for sticking with me through thick and thin."
