BIG MACHINE RECORDS artist TAYLOR SWIFT and ARISTA/NASHVILLE artist CARRIE UNDERWOOD have landed on ROLLING STONE magazine’s list for the Top 16 “Queens of Pop.” SWIFT ranked overall at the No. 2 spot, below LADY GAGA, while UNDERWOOD was ranked No. 11.
ROLLING STONE’s point system was based on radio airplay, YOUTUBE views, digital and album downloads, concert ticket sales, industry awards, and critic rankings. The statistics were taken between 2009 through mid-2011.
SWIFT beat out pop-artists RIHANNA and BRITNEY SPEARS in the touring category, with $73.9 million in sales. UNDERWOOD placed No. 8 after raking in $37.9 million from her “Play On Tour.”
