MCVAY MEDIA welcomes back CHARLIE COOK, this time as Pres./Partner of MCVAY MEDIA, which will be renamed MCVAY/COOK & ASSOCIATES.
CEO/Founder MIKE MCVAY said, " COO DORIS MCVAY, CHARLIE and I started MCVAY MEDIA together nearly 28 years ago. The company has grown and evolved over the years to where we now encompass broadcast consulting, talent coaching, show prep, digital, social and new media as well as MCVAY SYNDICATION, which is our own radio network. CHARLIE is the perfect person to guide the reorganization and growth of these companies. We welcome him as a partner and as our leader."
McVAY also told ALL ACCESS that he's "not retiring and he's not in poor health. He's actually ramping-up the company and preparing for more big moves."
COOK commented, "I have been involved with MIKE and DORIS for almost my entire broadcast career and I appreciate the opportunity to partner with them to keep the company at the top of the media consultancy list. Moving forward we'll continue to offer every element that keeps broadcasters, air talent and performers on the cutting edge."
At the same time, JON ERDAHL is promoted to Pres./New Media Division of MCVAY/COOK & ASSOCIATES. DANIEL ANSTANDIG segues to LISTENER DRIVEN RADIO, where he is already Pres./CEO, while continuing in a partnership and advisory role at M/C & A, and JESSICA KERSHNER moves from VP/Operations at MCVAY NEW MEDIA to become Pres. of the newly launched MCVAY/COOK SOCIAL MEDIA division. NICOLE LANIGAN takes over responsibility for the Show Prep Services. DAN HALYBURTON is promoted to EVP/New Media Division.
ANSTANDIG said, "The reorganization of The New Media Division, with JON as its President, strengthens our company’s position in the industry and emboldens our abilities to build digital audience and revenue strategies for broadcasters. I have enjoyed consulting media companies as a partner in MCVAY NEW MEDIA for the last 10 years, and will continue as a partner and adviser to the new company. The growth of LISTENER DRIVEN RADIO has been fast and furious, and as full-time Pres./CEO of LDR, we’ll continue to focus on generating game-changing ratings, revenue and web traffic results for our growing list of affiliates and partners."
ERDAHL added, "An opportunity like this happens once in a career so I am honored to take over as President of MCVAY/COOK NEW MEDIA as this highly successful team continues to build upon our leadership in the Digital space. We’re also proud to announce a promotion for DAN HALYBURTON to EVP of the New Media division. We remain focused on building customized Digital solutions for our Business Partners so this corporate wide transition speaks volumes to our continued commitment to the Digital space and the broadcast industry."
