COX MEDIA GROUP Talk WSB-A-WSBB/ATLANTA weekend host ANDY DEAN makes the big leap to syndication with a new weeday show for PREMIERE RADIO NETWORKS. DEAN, a former contestant on "THE APPRENTICE" and then President of DONALD TRUMP PRODUCTIONS who has hosted 1-3p (ET) SUNDAYS on WSB, will host "AMERICA NOW WITH ANDY DEAN" 3-6p (PT) weekdays beginning AUGUST 8th.
The show replaces JASON LEWIS' show, which ends national syndication through PREMIERE on AUGUST 5th and continues at flagship CLEAR CHANNEL Talk KTLK-F (NEWS TALK 100.3)/MINNEAPOLIS and moves to GENESIS COMMUNICATIONS NETWORK for syndication.
In a press release, DEAN said, "AMERICA NOW will become the #1 show in AMERICA because I am a ratings machine. When PREMIERE NETWORKS offered me a briefcase full of cash to do this show, I knew we would be great partners."
PREMIERE President JULIE TALBOTT said, "We're excited to debut AMERICA NOW WITH ANDY DEAN as part of Premiere's national lineup. We're confident this new program's unique take on news and politics, along with ANDY's energy, charisma and passion for radio, will resonate with talk audiences across the country."
As for LEWIS, he said in a release, "I couldn't be more thrilled to be joining the GENESIS COMMUNICATIONS NETWORK. They are truly a company on the move hitting their stride. Moreover, it's great to be joining a hometown team where I can just walk down the street and we can put our heads together to reach our goals. The timing couldn't be better. It's a great union, a great partnership."
