Philadelphia Sportscaster Donna McQuillan Dies

Condolences to family and friends of longtime PHILADELPHIA and WILMINGTON radio sportscaster DONNA MCQUILLAN, who died JULY 10th of complications from a blood clot to the heart at 53 in RIDLEY PARK, PA.
MCQUILLAN started her career while at TEMPLE UNIVERSITY, working at KYW-A and WRTI/PHILADELPHIA. She served as Sports Director at WQIQ-A/CHESTER and WILM-A/WIMLMINGTON, then worked at PBS affiliate WHYY-TV/WILMINGTON-PHILADELPHIA in the DELAWARE bureau and hosted at WIP-A/PHILADELPHIA and worked at UPI RADIO NETWORK in WASHINGTON and at SPORTSTICKER. She operated her own D M COMMUNICATIONS, providing sports reporting for several outlets including the syndicated PRO FOOTBALL WEEKLY show, and taught at the CONNECTICUT SCHOOL OF BROADCASTING and served as VP of the PHILADELPHIA SPORTS WRITERS ASSOCIATION.
MCQUILLAN is survived by husband MICHAEL LUONGO.
