Caroline Corley Moves To Mornings At WXPK
July 29, 2011 at 3:56 AM (PT)
PAMAL BROADCASTING Triple A WXPK (THE PEAK)/WHITE PLAINS, NY, has moved veteran radio personality CAROLINE CORLEY from nights to mornings. She shifts with MD and award-winning "10 at 10" host ROB ARROW. THE PEAK is now the only commercial radio station in the NEW YORK market with a morning show hosted by a woman.
Due to a shoulder injury ARROW suffered in MAY, CORLEY was filling in for him while he recuperated. When he returned to work, ARROW asked his colleague and long-time friend to trade time slots permanently.
"I had been hosting mornings on THE PEAK for the last seven years," ARROW said. "If there has been a silver lining to this whole thing it’s that I've recently re-discovered what it’s like to sleep past 4 a.m.!" However, ARROW will still host the "10 at 10" segment each weekday morning.
PEAK PD CHRIS HERRMANN, commented, "With CAROLINE CORLEY starting the day and ROB ARROW wrapping it up at night, THE PEAK sounds better now than we ever have.>
CORLEY was recently named Best DJ by WESTCHESTER MAGAZINE.
