More Clear Channel Traffic Reporters Laid Off

The news first reported by ALL ACCESS on FRIDAY (NET NEWS 7/29) that CLEAR CHANNEL TRAFFIC/TOTAL TRAFFIC NETWORK was laying off reporters in some markets and moving operations to regional hubs appears to be the case, according to a report in the HARRISBURG PATRIOT-NEWS.
In the CENTRAL PENNSYLVANIA market, three traffic staffers were let go, with CLEAR CHANNEL spokesperson ANGEL ARISTONE telling the paper that the market's traffic would emanate from an undisclosed hub in another market. In PITTSBURGH, GREG MCATEE, heard primarily on WWSW (3WS), has exited.
As ALL ACCESS reported, TOLEDO's traffic will be produced from the company's CLEVELAND operations. Other smaller markets are apparently being regionalized, with local reporters replaced by reports from the hubs.
