QUEEN OF HEAVEN CATHOLIC RADIO, INC. is selling Silent WQHC-A/HANCEVILLE, AL to LA PROMESA FOUNDATION for $10.
In other filings with the FCC, WOLF CREEK BROADCASTING is donating Silent COPPER BASIN BROADCASTING CO., INC., licensee of WLSB-A/COPPER HILL, TN, to MORGANTON BAPTIST ASSOCIATION, INC.
S AND H BROADCASTING LLC has applied for a Silent STA for KRSX/TWENTYNINE PALMS, CA, due to a delay in delivery of the station's new antenna.
FAMILY LIFE MINISTRIES, INC has requested a Silent STA for FM translator W278AW/GENESEO, NY in advance of the station's sale to LLOYD LANE, INC. and move to a new site.
THE MARCONI BROADCASTING FOUNDATION has applied for a Silent STA for low power FM WIFL-LP/WEIRSDALE, FL pending a transfer of ownership and change in programming.
PENSACOLA CHRISTIAN COLLEGE, INC. has requested a Silent STA for FM translator W204BE/WHEELING, WV due to the sign-on of a full-power station and the need to move to a new frequency.
And the PITTSBURGH POST-GAZETTE reports that the FCC has granted the sale of noncommercial WDUQ/PITTSBURGH from DUQUESNE UNIVERSITY to ESSENTIAL PUBLIC MEDIA for $6 million. The sale was approved over objections mostly based on the station's flip from Jazz to mostly News-Talk programming, with the Commission noting that it does not regulate programming format choices. Closing is expected within 30 days.
