Dow Closes Up Over 400

Things are better on WALL STREET TODAY (8/9) reports CBS MARKET WATCH, as "Media and entertainment stocks rebounded in step with a rally on U.S. markets. THE DOW JONES U.S. Broadcasting & Entertainment Total Stock Market Index was up 2.2% at 3,430.34. CBS CORP. rose 9%; VIACOM INC. added 3.5%; LIBERTY MEDIA CORP. rose 3.4%; NEWS CORP. rose 2.7%; and WALT DISNEY CO. rose 1.2% ahead of its report later TUESDAY of fiscal third-quarter results."
The DOW closed up over 400, regaining much of what was lost YESTERDAY (8/8).
Yesterday Was Tough For Media Investors
That's good news following YESTERDAY's 634 point drop of the DOW JONES INDUSTRIAL AVERAGE. Many stocks in the ALL ACCESS STOCK INDEX experienced double-digit percentage drops.
