Dallas' KLTY Moves From #5 To #3. KZPS Makes Strides In Key Demos

Dallas' SALEM Christian AC KLTY gained ground in JULY with a 6.7% share increase among P6+ on the way from #5 to #3 (4.8). The remainder of the top 4 stations remained steady with their JUNE rankings. CLEAR CHANNEL Top 40 KHKS (106.1 KISS FM) held its #1 position (6.5) with CUMULUS Country KPLX at #2 (5.0) and CBS RADIO Classic Hits KLUV occupying #4 (4.7).

CLEAR CHANNEL Classic Rock KZPS (LONE STAR 92.5) had a month of significant growth in 3 demos: 13.2% in P6+ (moving from #7 to #6), 37% in 18-34's (moving from #15 to #10) and 28.6% in 18-49's (climbing from #11 to #6).

P6+: KZPS, 13.2%/#7 to #6

P18-34: KZPS, 37%/#15 to #10

P18-49: KZPS, 28.6%/#11 to #6

P25-54: CBS Adult Hits KJKK (JACK FM), 10%% / holds at #2

Houston's KODA, KBXX Share The Limelight In July. The Eagle Soars Up The Charts

CLEAR CHANNEL AC KODA (SUNNY 99.1) and RADIO ONE Top 40/Rhythmic KBXX (97.9 THE BOX) share the top rank in Houston-Galveston for JULY (7.0).RADIO ONE Urban AC KMJQ (MAJIC 102) was #3, for the fourth straight month (5.9). UNIVISION Regional Mexican KLTN jumped from #6 to #4 on the month.

COX Classic Rock/Classic Hits KGLK (107.5 THE EAGLE) soared 46% in P6+ for the month while gliding from #17 to #10 in the demo. The station rose 34% in P18-49, moving from #13 to #10. The classic rocker was up 53.3%
among P18-34(#18 to #17), 31.4% among P25-54 (#14 to #8) and 42% in P35-64 (#11 to #3).

Atlanta's Top 5 Remain Unchanged In P6+. WWVA Makes A Move In P18-49

ATLANTA's frontrunners held together for a second consecutive month. CBS RADIO Urban WVEE (V-103) was #1 P6+ in ATLANTA in JULY (8.6) with its share up slightly over JUNE. COX MEDIA GROUP Talk WSB-A was #2 remaining level with its JUNE numbers P6+ (7.8). COX Urban AC WALR (KISS 104) checked in #3 (6.0) while CUMULUS Top 40/Mainstream WWWQ (Q100) held firm at #4 (5.8). LINCOLN FINANCIAL Hot AC WSTR (STAR 94) continues to do well at #5 (5.6)

COX MEDIA GROUP AC WSB-F was the month's top gainer showing a 31% boost in P18-34 (#11 to #7) CLEAR CHANNEL Top 40/Rhythmic WWVA (WILD 105.7 and 96.7) turned in an 18.9% ascent among P18-49 (#15 to #9, tied with CITADEL Country WKHX).

P6+: SALEM Christian AC WFSH (THE FISH 104.7), 13.5%/#12 to #10 (tied with WKHX)

P18-34: WSB-F, 31.2%/#11 to #7

P18-49: WWVA, 18.9%/#15 to #9 (tied with WKHX)

P25-54: WSB-F, 10.9%/#6 to #4

P35-64: RADIO ONE Urban AC WAMJ, 15.8%/#4 to #3

Philly Remains Unchanged At The Top

WEAZ INC. AC WBEB [B101] (7.5), CBS RADIO News KYW-A (6.7) and CLEAR CHANNEL Urban AC WDAS (5.9) are atop the P6+ heap in Philly for a 3rd consecutive month. WBEB saw an upward shift in its JULY share (6.9 to 7.5). KYW-A held steady (6.7) while WDAS shed two tenths (6.1 to 5.9). WBEB showed growth in P6+, P18-34 and P35-64 (see Top Demo Gainers).
